    A better day

Today was, on average, a better day. My cat caught an animal and brought it to me. It was a lizard and she didn't kill it straightaway. She let it run under the bed, chased it, shredded it a bit till there were bits of legs and tail on the floor, then she stopped and pondered. Then it moved a bit and she swatted and bit it some more, didn't kill it right away. It was really sweet and adorable and after that she brought the carcass to me. Being a good surrogate mother I petted her and said "good kitty!" and gave her a large fish snack before disposing of the lizard remains. I normally give her a kiss on the nose every morning but now I think I shall stop. No one knows where that lizard's been. Normally, lizards in my house are fat, bloated and slow. So slow in fact that I step on them accidentally. This one was, to Sasha's (my cat) credit, faster though.

Maybe she's eaten the roaches as well. I haven't seen one in my room for ages, though one just fell on my head in the bath two days ago.

I like small spaces. the orchestra pit is kinda cosy. People get claustrophobic but somehow I feel very happy in a small space. When I was a kid, I used to sit in a corner, or on top of a small rug and pile cushions or books up all around me till they formed a wall and I would feel happy just sitting inside (that very small space). Strange. Even now I like corners.

Musically, it went better than usual. Learnt a lot.
(It always happens just as I decide I hate you.)
